"Ros was my manager for a number of years at HubSpot and is someone who made that period for me, one of the highlights of my UX career so far.

What's it like to work with Ros? Our weekly 1:1's were a relaxed space to share my work and seek his feedback and perspective. Ros always knew the right questions to ask to help me to unblock myself when there was fog. He would encourage me to push myself and ask "why" - and keep asking "why" - until I get to the real core of the problems I am trying to solve. It's these types of servant-leadership management approaches that, in my opinion, separates good design managers from great ones, and Ros' ways of working certainly rubbed off on me and everyone else around him.
